On Friday I decided to slump the laser etched glass (from what seems like forever ago) in the hope that it will be some kind of improvement. I made dish-shaped moulds to try and get a slight curvature of the glass. I don't really know what they'll come out looking like but I am hoping that the lines will look nicer in some way. Maybe they'll not be visible? Maybe they'll be shiny? The possibilities are endless!
I have also put one off my plaster moulds (taken from the silcone) into the kiln which I am slumping a circle of float glass in. I don't really think that this will work, in that I don't think it'll pick up any detail but I thought I might as well give it a go.
They're going to be ready to come out of the kiln in the morning so let's all cross our fingers and hope for something exciting!
