Creative Collaborations

Today we got our new project which is also the last project of third year! It's kind of terrifying as it feels like I only started Transitions yesterday!

This new project- Creative Collaborations- will help us to develop the confidence to enable innovative and exciting collaborations using glass and other materials. It is all about high risk experimentation but with potentially amazing rewards.

We have been given a sort of vague outline of little starting points but we have to write the brief ourselves. This is going to be tricky as I haven't had to do anything like that since college (3 years ago)!

Firstly we are to chose another material to combine glass with from: metal, wood, plastic/resin, concrete, light and fabric.

Secondly we're to pick a quantity: singular (limited edition), multiple (batch production) or component (part/section).

And finally a form of movement: potential (lean/balance/bounce), static (frozen/frame) or action (spin/rotate/flip/kick).

So we can pretty much do anything we want to within reason!

I've had some little idea but at at the moment I'm still not sure. I want to try and make my mind up as quick as possible though so I can get researching and making plans as soon as possible!
