Paul Cocksedge and Olafur Eliasson

Two artists who I have came across that use light to create powerful installations are Paul Cocksedge and Olafur Eliasson.

Cocksedge created Crystallize in 2005 for the Swarovski Crystal Palace Collection using crystals and laser modules. He has incorporated the use of technology to achieve a high impact, dramatic aesthetic.

Eliasson installed The Weather Project in the Turbine Hall of the Tate Modern in 2003. The subject of weather was used as a basis for exploring ideas about experience, meditation and representation.

Obviously my installation won't be on such a huge scale as these but hopefully it will be able to induce the same kinds of intense feelings.
